That's right men! Play in the Bag-O tournament on Thursday, April 17th for the chance to win an XBOX 360! We will also be grilling out so join us for free food whether you are playing or not!
Fraternity Bag-O Tournament
Thursday, April 17th
5-7pm on Main Street (in front of the Beta Theta Pi house)
Here are the rules:
General Rules
- Fraternity men only.
- Men must be current CMU students.
- 2 men to a team.
- The same 2 members that start the tournament for a team must play in each game. (No switching teammates part way through the tournament)
- Each fraternity may only supply a maximum of 2 teams for the tournament
- No swearing.
- Poor sportsmanship may result in point deductions or disqualification from the tournament.
Tournament Setup
- There will be a maximum of 16 teams.
- Tournament is single elimination.
- Each round, with the exception of the final round, will consist of one game lasting to 15 points or 20 minutes (which ever occurs first).
- The final round will last until one team scores 21 points; no time limit.
Game Play
- Teammates stand at opposing ends
- Coin flip determines which team begins the match
- All the bags are thrown from one side each round
- Opposing teams alternate throws
- Team who scored the most recent points will throw first in a new round
Point System
- 1 point for a bag completely on the board
- 3 points for each bag that is thrown into the hole in the board
- "Leaner" bags do not count
- Bags that bounce from the ground, or any other object, onto the board do not count
- Points from opposing teams will cancel out (ex. red team scores 3. blue scores 2. red team will be awarded 1 point for the round)
Prizes
Tournament Winner
The team that wins the entire tournament will receive an XBox 360 with one controller and one headset.
1st Runner Up
The second place team will receive a prize that is to be determined.

- Greek Letter Affiliation
- Phone number for each teammate
- Email for each teammate
